Meeting Teenie Turner & more commercial break nonsense
Updated: Oct 5
I took a selfie with a mini horse this week!
Teenie Turner and I had a reciprocated “love at first sight” moment. The Mid MO celeb, a miniature horse from Stephens College, was the highlight of an extremely busy week.
A Busy Yet Full Week
I’m catching a quick Friday nap before a much-delayed haircut, but first, let me share what’s been happening:
I’ve got some exciting stories brewing for work—yay!
I’m still buzzing from the news that two of my closest college friends just closed on new, absolutely beautiful and blessed homes in Michigan.
My favorite part of journalism? Meeting a diverse pool of people. Conversations that matter. I often find myself tangled up in listening to their stories longer than planned. But capturing the essence of every interviewee is crucial for me.
Behind the Scenes of Journalism
As a journalist, I thrive on the stories that unfold around me. Each interview is a chance to connect, to dive deep into the lives of others. It’s not just about the facts; it’s about the feelings, the experiences, and the lessons learned.
I often find that the most meaningful moments happen when I least expect them. Whether it’s a heartfelt story or a laugh shared with a stranger, these interactions fuel my passion for storytelling.
A Glimpse Into My YouTube World
I’ll leave you with my latest YouTube post. It’s nothing upsetting, I hope. Instead, you’ll find a lighthearted glimpse behind the scenes of today’s newscast.
Always be your best,
Marvis
